Where are my rain boots and ‘brella? Tuesday, Oct 27 2009

It appears that Arkansas will continue to receive generous amounts of rain this fall! Yipee! *sarcasm*

I think that I would like to invest in a couple of cute pair of rain boots for Sara Beth & I! Comment links to where we can get cute ones for a reasonable price (:

Until then, happy splashing!

Coaches: A Tribute Monday, Oct 26 2009

I’ve never been a coach (unless you count being a mom…which technically isn’t really being a “coach” of a sport but of life it is!).

According to dictionary.com a coach is, “to give instruction or advice to in the capacity of a coach; instruct.” But to me, a coach does so much more. Watching my daughter cheer in her first football game or watching her practice her first year of basketball makes me realize that a coach is something made of more than knowledge…but patience, compassion, and care. Within each mold that he or she coaches is a beautiful person with feelings and one wrong move could bring the player down.

Some people are motivated by anger…some by love…some by money…some by other things. It all depends on the person! When you are a 10 year old girl your feelings and self esteem can be bottomed out by one wrong comment and I am happy to say that I do not have to worry about that with the two coaches she has had thus far. I have seen my daughter go from shy and timid to loud and care free. Her self esteem is greater and she believes in herself and pushes herself because someone has put into her head that she is capable!

Now, if anyone knows how hard headed a little girl can be its a mother! I have tried and tried to tell her that she is capable of anything but sometimes it helps coming from someone that is more interactive in the sport with her.

So, my thank you goes to my daughter’s coach(es) this year…and for the years to come.

If you are a coach know that my prayers are with you because I’ve seen first hand the moments when I feel that I would have lost my cool but they stayed patient and kept pushing. The outcome is what mattered the most!

I’m sure I can speak for all of the parents who put your trust in you to lead our children in a positive way…Thank You for your hard work, dedication and love!

Soy Candles: Wick It Designs (Product Review) Sunday, Oct 25 2009

Let me just begin by saying that I am very picky about candles. I do not like purchasing them without sampling them…several times. LOL.

When I ran across these candles I had the benefit of knowing the owner of the company so I trusted her product. Since then I have purchased MANY products from her and I would like to recommend a few to you.

Soy Candles…they are wondeful! The smell is creamy and rich. I love vanilla, cinammon, grape and clean smells. ALL of which I can get from Wick It. They are beautifully packaged and smell so yummy. One of my personal favorites is Lemon Cookies…seriously, smells just like a lemon cookie! I wanted to take a bite it smelled so good. (: Her best seller is Fresh Cut Grass and Peony, which I also recommend. It smells clean…with just a HINT of floral…nothing over powering though.

She also sells Shea Butter sticks or lotion. I recommend BOTH. At first, I assumed that it would be greasy but its NOT. Its very light and I use it after baths, during work, or whenever. You can also personalize what scent you want. I’m currently using Aloe Vera which smells very clean and light. Great for after a relaxing bubble bath.

Her bath and body line is called La Bonne Vie and comes in a variety of scents.

I’ve also tried the Dry Body Oil, which can also come in your favorite scent. I really like it, especially during the summer after I’ve been outside, come in and bathe and then put it on. It’s not too greasy to wear out or just lounging. My favorite scent is the Happy type…just like Happy perfume!

She doesn’t leave out kids! For my neices birthday, I got a container of the Soy Alphabet Bath Soap. It was SOO cute and you can get any scent. I did grape and my neice actually thought you could eat it and took a bite! LOL. The container looks small but it had a LOT of product in it! I definetly recommend this product for birthday, Christmas, Valentine, etc. She can make any color! The kids LOVE it!

Overall I give her a 10! The customer service is just as divine as the product! While you are shopping online this Holiday Season or for whenever please check out her products!

Welcome to The Pretty Purse Sunday, Oct 25 2009

I have set up this blog to use for marketing purposes. Don’t worry though. Its not going to be a bunch of advertising mumbo jumbo. It’s going to be a place you can come for product reviews, gift ideas, beauty tips, etc.

I recently signed back up to sell Avon this past weekend and my ambitions are beyond the sky! My goal? To become a Unit Leader and then whatever other Leadership Titles I can receive after that I want too!

So you ask? Do you really make money selling Avon? Well, let me just explain to you how I KNOW you make money selling Avon. My grandmother started selling Avon over 30 years ago because my grandpa didn’t like handing over money to help with food and the kids. He was a gambler and a drunk. So my grandmother decided she was going to get a job for herself and she did. Not only did she sale door to door but she made the President’s Club which is a huge honor and success at Avon. NOT everyone can get President’s Club….you have to sale over $10K every year! After my grandfather died she continued selling Avon and that is how she made her living…

SO I know you make money!

If you’d like more about this great opportunity PLEASE contact me at lc.wheeler@hotmail.com.

Until later, I wish you much success in your life!

Peace and Love,

Leslie
